When to Call Your Doctor

Not every symptom is an emergency — but some are.

  • Fever above 100.4°F (38°C)
  • New or worsening pain, redness, swelling, or drainage
  • Shortness of breath, chest pain, or fainting
  • Confusion or a change in mental status
  • Bleeding that won't stop or new weakness on one side
  • When in doubt, call. That's what the number is for.
